The recession fundamentally changed the way law firms do business. Shook, Hardy & Bacon Chairman John Murphy made that observation when he was interviewed for a story in this issue about the industry forecast for 2011 (Page 11). He is certainly not the first to draw that conclusion, evidence of which shouts from nearly every page of Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s sixth annual MOney 20 report on the financial status of the state’s largest law firms.
